When you scan a product, we collect the barcode/ingredient text you provide, scan result (risk score, verdict, confidence), and an anonymous scan ID.
The camera runs entirely in your browser. Barcode detection happens locally — the video stream never leaves your device. Only the extracted barcode number is sent to our servers.
EXIF metadata stripped on upload. Original images deleted within 24 hours.
We query OpenFoodFacts with barcodes. No personal info sent.
